Arkansas Car Insurance Requirements

The state of Arkansas follows a Tort system meaning someone must be found to be at fault for causing the accident, and that person and their insurance company is responsible for all the damages.

You must carry a minimum of:

  • $25,000 per person for bodily injury
  • $50,000 per accident
  • $25,000 to cover property damage

Proof of Insurance:

Insurance companies must electronically report information on coverage to the Arkansas Insurance Database.  However, you must also show proof of insurance if you’re pulled over or in an accident. You risk suspension of your registration.
