New Hampshire Car Insurance Requirements

New Hampshire follows a Tort system, meaning someone must be found at fault for causing the accident, and that person and their insurance company is responsible for all the damages.

New Hampshire does not require car insurance, instead asking citizens to be financially responsible and able to pay for damages. If residents choose insurance, the minimum limits are:

  • Bodily Injury Liability: $25,000/$50,000 Limit
  • Property Damage Liability: $25,000 Limit
  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury: $25,000/$50,000 Limit
    Medical Payments: $1,000 Limit
