Alaska Car Insurance Requirements
The state of Alaska follows a Tort system meaning someone must be found to be at fault for causing the accident, and that person and their insurance company is responsible for all the damages

In Alaska, drivers must carry a minimum insurance level of:
$50,000/$100,000 for bodily injury or death
$25,000 for property damage.
Insurance is not required in areas where registration is not required.
Proof of insurance:
You must carry proof at all times. Failure to have the proper insurance may result in a suspension of a driver’s license or in your vehicle being impounded.
